The Charleston Guide | Lunch Spots

Are you planning an upcoming trip to Charleston, South Carolina? Whether you are heading there for the day or a week, there are so many choices when it comes to shopping, touring and especially when it comes to eating. You can't go wrong with where you pick to eat, but I know how hard it is to choose, so I am here to help! Here are my top picks for eating lunch in downtown Charleston. My selection is based on places I have eaten, or family has raved about and the location of the restaurant to everything else downtown. Any of my picks are within walking distance to Market Street, carriage rides, house tours and everything else the city has to offer!

Toast! - They have a terrific breakfast menu but also an excellent choice for lunch! Just around the block from Market Street it is the perfect location for all the tours and fun things you have planned for the day!

Reservations Suggested

Poogan's Porch - The restaurant known for their take on traditional Southern cooking and located on Queen St. not far the Gibb's Museum of

High Cotton - Down the street from Amen's Street Fish & Raw Bar, High Cotton has some great memories for me. I loved going there for my birthday brunch several years ago. They are spinning Southern classics making something new and delicious.

82 Queen - Everything is an elegant representation of Lowcountry cuisine. Tucked away on Queen St it is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet lunch. I highly recommend the succotash.

Have a favorite restaurant that did not make the list? Let me know and I would love to try it out! This list will be updated on occasion as well so make sure to Pin It!
