Bayou Christmas

Happy Christmas Eve!

I hope you are enjoying a warm hot cocoa and a couple gingerbread men tonight! To add to the traditional Christmas stories you may read tonight, I asked my good friend Delia to write a little poem about the holiday. Delia being from Louisiana shared a sweet and funny poem about Christmas in the Bayou.

Bayou Christmas

Most people comment on the white snow or lighted garland.

Down in the Bayou 50 degrees and foggy

Mixed with some rye grass is the perfect winter storm.

You can walk your dog in your sandals

But everyone likes to pretend they're freezing to save face.

When you open all the presents

You don't see Jack Frost nipping at your nose!

They told us this year it might snow though.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!

Blessings from Birmingham!
