Falling for Pink {Coats}

Hello, y'all!

My heart is so full of love and gratitude for all of the support and encouraging words individuals have showered me with after reading my September Recap. Thank you. You are all such a true blessing!

October is such a fun month, full of activities from pumpkin carving to dressing up for Halloween. We are no longer just dipping our toes into the Autumn season but finally taking the plunge! You can not go anywhere or open any social media account without seeing the warm orange colors of pumpkins or the delicious reds of apples (yes delicious). Other colors like forest greens, burgundy, caramels and mustard yellow are making appearances but what about pink?

Pink or any pastels for that matter are traditional not seen as apart of the Fall color scheme but I beg to defer. If we can wear white after Labor Day why can't we mix in some spring tones? Now I am not pulling out my summery Lilly Pulitzer prints or my favorite neon pink skirt but I think there is a place for some blush pink this season! This summer while on a trip to the mountains for my two of best friends, Delia and Sarah, I found this "fits my perfectly" perfect pink coat. It was in the middle of July and a little silly to be buying a coat I wouldn't be able to wear for at least three months, but when there is only one left and it is your size, you got to! Plus 75% off did not hurt either.

The double-breasted buttons and classic tailored cut of the jacket are so charming. I know that it will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come. I found this jacket at a small boutique and could not find it online but tagged several other pink jackets below for you to peruse. I styled this jacket with another classic go-to choice. White button down and dark washed skinny jeans. What I love about this JCrew blouse is the ruffle collar with silver and white embellishments. The neckline of the blouse goes perfectly in contrast to the simple collar of the jacket. The dark wash skinny jeans are my absolute favorite pair of high waisted jeans from the Loft. And a must of a staple for any closet. To top it off, pun intended, I am wearing my Kate Spade felt hat. I love the almost 1920s look of the hat, with the finishing touch of a ribbon bow. It really finishes off the classic, but not traditional, Fall look!

What is your favorite color to wear this season? What are your classic wardrobe staples?
