Hello y'all!
For my birthday several weeks ago my parents planned a wonderful weekend at my favorite place on earth... Charleston! I love everything about the city; the history, food and of course shopping!
I decided instead of spending a whole post on the weekend, I will use some of my favorite moments and memories as themes, so be prepared for a lot of Charleston haha
On Saturday we decided to spend the morning doing some touristy activities, like visiting the Exchange and the Heyward-Washington House (both of which are a most do, due to the amount of Revolutionary War period history between the sites!). While walking to the Heyward-Washington House we were distracted by the cutest navy dress with pink trim, next to the sign Madison Mathews.
So of course, us girls had to take a step inside and I am so glad we did! It took my heart the second I realized the logo had an elephant! An elephant!!! The store was filled with beautiful tunics, dress, shorts and more in soft cotton perfect for the coming summer months. I loved all of the bright patterns mixed with flattering traditional cuts. Along with lovely bed linens, making me wish I had a bigger carry-on. I ended up picking a prefect navy blue maxi dress with white embroidered details and the best seersucker dress I have ever laid eyes on!!
The women working was so helpful and one of the friendliest sales ladies I have ever done business with. She made me fill right at home while shopping. She and the side trip to the store made my birthday weekend that much greater! Madison Mathews, at 89 Church St, is worth the extra time to walk from the normal path of King St.
Now if you don't have a trip planned anytime soon, they do have a website,
Madsion Mathews (my dresses are sadly not on there but some other tempting treasures are!!).
Here are some photos of my adventure there, to help you window shop and day dream...
Happy Shopping,
xoxo
